Members of the community have joined  with Melton Performing Arts to create a musical choir concert, titled Musical Melodies. 

This is the first project for the newly-formed organisation which is possible thanks to support from Melton City Council, the event promises to be an exciting start to new performing arts opportunities in the local community.

The concert will feature a diverse range of musical musical numbers originating from different shows, and will be performed by a talented choir made up of local singers. The group has been rehearsing each week since late January, and so far have been an incredible showcase of their hard work and dedication.

The idea for the concert came from local school teachers Derek & Carla who saw a need for more cultural and artistic events in the area. Melton Performing Arts is proud to be able to support their project,

“We are thrilled with the performing arts opportunities that are being created in Melton through Melton Performing Arts.” said Derek & Carla. 

The concert is scheduled to take place at the Rockbank Hall, with tickets available for purchase via meltonpa.org.au. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting future artistic endeavours in the community.

The musical choir concert is just the beginning for Melton Performing Arts, which has plans to expand its offerings in the future. With the support of the local community and the Melton City Council, the organisation is poised to make a significant impact on the arts scene in the area for years to come.
